aspecialsnowflakeVarvara might looks sweet, but she's... actually an ageless demon, with powers that are the definition of godmodey. She can basically pluck facts out of the air about people and events, intuit things about them and know things that are going on that she has no reason or rational way of knowing. She can also appear to one single person in a room with no one else present seeing her. None of this is mind reading or manipulation - in the classical sense, she cannot read minds and has no psychic influence; she will never know what your character is thinking at any given moment, though the knowledge she gets herself will certainly let her guess.
There are exceptions to this! Supernatural beings will have more resistance to her, and priests/exorcists (the denomination does not matter) will be downright immune to much of her bullshit. They will be able to see her even she doesn't want them to and they will be much, much more difficult to generally get a handle on for her.
I will never do any of these things without a player's express permission and full knowledge of what Varvara will know and what she'll do with that knowledge. So, one catch all permissions post, let's go!

2b. If yes, what? Very little is fully off limits with Wesker. He will ignore or deny it for the most part. There is a chance he would simply not care.

Because so much of Wesker depends on his planning, I'm going to ask that she not. It can take me a week or upwards of months to build something for him that she could blow with a few choice words. Should she want to talk to him personally about them without others about, I'm for that.

Date: 2013-01-23 07:03 pm (UTC)Also, with Wesker, I see Varvara being pretty interested in him - she's used to the supernatural and she's seen plenty of people warped by that stuff, but someone who's been mutated by pure science, that'll be fun to watch. Also, people who want power like Wesker wants power are hilarious to her. (Also better than TV - especially 40s Russian TV)
If she were to pick up on anything in game, chances are she'll be more entertained by not telling anyone at all, haha. But yeah, I'll definitely keep her out of his business in that regard.

2b. If yes, what? That he made a deal with (essentially) a devil to resurrect a little girl he had promised to give a better life to, who was brutally strangled in his absence. The result of the deal was the girl's soul bound to a mechanical weapon that cursed him for bringing her back to the world, after which she killed him and wore his body as a suit :')

Half-ghost, with a strong sense of will, so I'd say that, hey, Danny sometimes falls for the same trick more than once, but if he pushes hard enough, he has a strong resistance. Though no out-right immunity.
1b. Does your character have knowledge and experience in occult matters? Yes! But really only things Danny learns on the fly/what his friends send him for research.

2b. If yes, what? This is where it might get a bit tricky, as I'd like to keep Danny's ghost schtick separate from his "normal" for at least a while, so it depends on whom Varvara is faced with. The link to Danny's canon is basically for you to go ahead and pick and choose from, with the exception of too much having to deal with his ghostly abilities/going-ons until there's more CR/plot relevance. the occasional is fine, though!

No outright hands-on experience, but demons and the like probably exist in his universe too, and rumors get around.

I'd have to say yes, being able to see people's life spans probably made him hit the books a little bit. Probably not super enough to ward something off. Think our world and the public library supernatural section lol.

He's definitely not religiously affiliated (he was a Satanist for a while but that was only through necessity), but he is supernatural. He's a Necromancer after all. He's also dabbled in exorcism, but only because the demons and ghosts in question were in his way.
1b. Does your character have knowledge and experience in occult matters? He's been to Hell twice, without appointments. He summons demons. He brings people back from the dead. I'm pretty sure that's a 'yes'.

2b. If yes, what? Nothing's off limits; there's a lot of possible stuff. If you know his canon, have at it. If you don't, let's see. The traumatic death that set him on the path of Necromancy is something he definitely doesn't want people to know about. Then there's the fact he's been dead once, had no soul for a while, what happened to his brother...I'll tell you more if you want them to interact!
